whoa this is the illusion reporting from summer on Spaceship Earth it's Friday yeah I'll fired up about that uh-huh okay I got a request to make a video about out of my air conditioning on I can do that with both hands cuz I'm whip and the canyons for all the you can concerned backseat drivers ain't no one up here but me anyway um someone was asking me what were the pros and cons of being a carpenter well I guess the biggest Pro you've got going is you have a skill set that istranslatable to anywhere anytime any economy any country right so it doesn't it doesn't matter where you are man you can always go find a building project where you can build with your with your hands your tools and stuff I think that's one of the biggest pros ever as I'm always employable I've got about six different guys I can call at any given time and plug in for work like I'll never be really out of work I wish I could get this gimbal to like work properly it's kind of tripping out maybe it's cuz I'm like gravity different and that that's a huge plus man I mean a negative as the hours suck!
I mean they only suck if you're a surfer really I was a surfer the hours blow man like its prime surfing hours when I'm at work man I start work at seven get off at 3:30 I mean some days it's rad some days it's the place to be well what is going on whoa we're psychedelic spinning outand uh you know that works but anytime a swell comes out man it's probably the worst job ever to have at ver especiallysince I worked by the coastline you know another big plus about the whole thing is dude you're always fit you're physically fit constantly physically fit you're outside you have a sense of accomplishment that's one of the cool things I like about carpentry is man I can see my work like I know what I've done like when we finished that last house like that was rad did I got to see like our finished product was like a finished house man so that's that's really kind of a neat part of the carpentry gig is the fact that you can you can see your work you know some of the cons are like did you get hurt at any moment you can easily get life-altering injuries man it happens all the time dude I mean it's not that common because you know if you're an honor man being like you're paying attention to stuff I'm super safety oriented like I think my boss kind of trips out on me sometimes.
I get super like uptight about like safety stuff especially like lifting huge pieces of lumber I'm always like what's our exit if it goes south where are we throwing this thing beyond he's like we're not gonna lose it I go yell but you know we could so he listens to me more and more about stuff like that cuz um that's all I am man what did they say prepare for the worst plan for the best right hope for the best hmm and then uh you know the pay is pretty decent you know for what for what especially if you're getting paid under the table yeah we like that but I haven't actually been paid under the table in like three or four years man it used to be kind of the vibe was like cash under the table dude you didn't even have to the government know what you're doing I like that about it you know the money's decent sense of accomplishments good thehours suck I don't like it when it's hot like if you don't like extreme weather conditions and working in extreme weather like carpenter he's not for you constructions not for you at all then like we got this dude who works for us right now he's super soft man super soft you don't like like physical pain.
